WOW! What a Week!

Elsie's first week at home and can I just say...baptism by fire for this little girl.

Sunday night after we brought the baby home, Olivia got some random stomach flu. She was throwing up for 2 days and had a fever for 3 days.
Monday night I got a high fever and a case of the baby blues...not to mention all of the other fun things that we get to deal with just after having a baby...
By Wednesday I was feeling better and Elsie started getting a fever, I called our Dr and he said that I should bring her immediately! Went to the Dr and she has 2 ear infections...poor thing! I hope we don't have to go through the same thing that we went through with Caden, one ear infection after another...not fun! She is on antibiotics and seems to be doing a lot better.
It was either Monday or Tuesday that Caden was complaining about sores in his mouth and by Wednesday he showed me that he had little blisters on his hands. I asked him to show me his feet, yep, he had them there too...turns out he had Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. Seriously! Great week to get some random disease that they can't treat and will just go away on it's own.
Fridayish, Elsie was in her bouncy seat and Caden tripped over the seat and knocked Elsie over, sending her rolling onto the kitchen floor. She was fine as soon as I picked her up, but it took a few minutes to calm Caden and olivia down. Caden was so upset that he made her fall and Olivia was worried about her baby sister. Needless to say, we have made very strict rules about giving Elsie her space when she is in her seat.
See, baptism by fire...
This week has already proven to be a lot better. Luckily we have so many wonderful family members and friends that brought in meals or took the kids for a night or did both! Thank you for every one's support and help, we love all of you!
Look at how sweet this little girl is, she is such a good baby!!! This is her at one week.
