Caden's Baptism

Caden was baptized last Saturday, December 10th. The day was beautiful! I am so proud of my little Buzzy Boy! To me, Caden has always seemed ready for this big step in his life, it was just a matter of turning 8 that he had to wait for.
I love Caden's beautiful testimony that he has gained for himself over the past 8 years...he LOVES to read the scriptures and was so excited when he opened Grandma and Grandpa Lewis' package for his birthday and found his very own scripture quad (we just do the blue Book of Mormon until G&G Lewis give them their special scriptures for their 8th bday).
I am often surprised at what comes out of Caden's mouth in regards to the gospel...he seems like a very old soul to me, with tons of knowledge and wisdom that he is just waiting to share with others. He loves the gospel and was more than ready to become a member of the Church.
I am so proud of him and the decision that he has made. I am so excited to see who he will become in the future and I know that he will be an amazing missionary throughout his life...he has already had a few missionary moments that I hope he never forgets.
Steve gave him a wonderful blessing for his confirmation and Jaxen gave a great talk on the Holy Ghost. I was so proud of all of my boys!
We invited our close friends that we have made here and feel so blessed that they were able to come support Caden, I love how friends can feel like family too...what a huge blessing each and every one of them have been to us since moving here.

My Mom and Sister, Celene, came to visit on Thursday before the baptism and Steve's parents came on Friday. We had such a wonderful time with all of them. I loved shopping with my Mom and Celene and showing them around a little part of where we live. Most of all though, I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives that will sacrifice to come and support our family. It meant the world to Caden to have family here on his special day. I know that there are many more of our family members that wanted to be here and would have if they could...they were all missed.
I know that I am blessed to be surrounded by so many great people and all too often I feel like I take that for granted. It was so good to see familiar faces, I didn't want any of them to leave. My Mom did say that she is going to bring my Dad sometime...I am holding her to it ;)
